Gold is the currency in Black Reliquary.
Gold can be found as loot in dungeons, either in raw gold coin form or as other items (such as gems) that automatically sell for gold at the end of a mission, and as a reward for a successful expedition. You can also sell trinkets from your trinket inventory for gold, with the amount depending on the rarity.
Gold is required for:
- reducing the stress of a hero in the Galley.
- purchasing provisions before entering a dungeon.
- upgrading a hero's weapons and armor at the Forge.
- training to upgrade and learn new skills at the Gaspard.
- removing positive and negative quirks, locking in positive quirks, as well as removing diseases in the Clinic.
- purchasing traditional Trinkets from the Oddities Dealer.
Since recruiting new heroes from the Ferry is free, it is not "Game Over" if you run out of Gold.
