Trinkets
Trinkets are equippable items that are commonly obtained while adventuring in the dungeons, earned as rewards from expeditions, or purchased from Veronica and Vernon at the Oddities Dealer. Certain trinkets are earned by defeating specific enemies. Each hero is able to carry up to two different trinkets at a time. If a hero dies, their trinkets can be scavenged if the player perseveres and wins the battle. Fleeing a battle will not give such an opportunity. The trinkets confer stat bonuses and penalties when worn, and it is up to the player to use them to their full effect.
Scaling
Generally trinket rarity scales up complexity and specialisation rather than simply becoming stronger. This is not true for every trinket however.
- Common Trinkets have no downsides but only offer simple stat bonuses.
- Uncommon Trinkets are stronger and offer more effects but have 1 or 2 downsides as well.
- Rare Trinkets are more specialised but give large buffs in that specialisation while also giving negative effects.
- Very Rare Trinkets have strong but niche effects requiring different playstyles or specialised builds to use effectively.
- Twilight Trinkets have strong party and global effects which support particular playstyles, religious affliations or specialised teams.
- Contraband Trinkets often completely change how a hero is played and have unique effects not seen elsewhere.
- Other rarities are mostly comparable to Very Rare and Rare trinkets.
- Boss trinkets often have effects relating to the Enemy Type they are from and have no negative effects except for the trinkets of the Ghoul Mother.
List of normal trinkets
There are two types of Normal Trinkets; Generic and Hero specific. The player can only have 4 of these at any time. (1 for Flagellant / Hexer / Dredge trinkets / infinite amount for Breakfast)
Generic Trinkets
Generic Trinkets can be equipped by any hero.
Common Trinkets
These trinkets are commonly found in lower difficulty dungeons.

Hero-specific Trinkets
These trinkets may only be equipped by their respective hero.
List of unique trinkets
Trinkets in these sections, except Perfumer and Celestial Trinkets, have a limit of 1.
Contraband Trinkets
Contraband trinkets are primarily bought with Refined Amber Dust at the Oddities Dealer. They are almost impossible to find elsewhere, with the only source outside of The Flameseeker being vendor trades with the very rare Encased Troglodyte item.
Most Contraband items completely change how a Hero is played or favour particular playstyles. The majority of them are limited to certain Heroes.

Reliquary's Spoils
The Reliquary's Spoils are the highest of treasures that can be obtained in The Valley. These are trinkets from extremely uncommon curios, rare enemy loot and slay the boss quest rewards.
Boss Trinkets
These trinkets are specifically obtained from the completion of a boss quest. Boss quests usually grant 2 trinkets per mission instead of 1 in the base game. Both of each Boss's trinkets are a combined Trinket Set which confers Set Effects if both trinkets are given to one hero.

Memento Trinkets
Memento Trinkets are overhauled trinkets which are originally from Trinket Sets via The Crimson Court DLC. They can be rarely obtained only on Veteran+ dungeons either from that hero interacting with a curio or being present when completing a battle. The drop chance increases on Champion.
Flameseeker Trinkets
Flameseeker Trinkets can be obtained from participating in Stress Recovery activities aboard The Flameseeker.

Celestial Trinkets
Celestial Trinkets are acquired by killing the Yngolian boss. The Yngolian can be summoned by igniting the Yngolian's Beacon, a shared curio which can be cleansed with a Torch to transport the player and their party to the Yngolian's lair. A specific Celestial Trinket can be upgraded by using it to cleanse the Beacon and killing the Yngolian again (if the dungeon difficulty requirement is met). Once a Celestial Trinket reaches its fifth form, it will be unable to be upgraded again and is at its maximum level.

Crew Trinkets
Crew Trinkets function similarly to Darkest Dungeons' Kickstarter backer trinkets. A Crew Trinket is not meant to be obtained in normal gameplay. Crew Trinkets can be obtained by pressing the space bar while having the Trinket inventory open, and then inputting the name of the Crew Trinket to call the trinket into your inventory. Only one of each Crew Trinkets can be obtained per save file.
