Side Decks are special kinds of facilities which passively grant benefit to your playthrough as you build them.

Buildings on the Side Decks can be built with various, diverse resources, but primarily requires a supply of Lost Tek, a rare relic previously used by the Ostvengr Empire. The available buildings on the Side Decks which can be constructed are generally expesnive, but do offer substantial buffs if a player was so inclined to build them. The benefits vary from exclusively utilitarian or financial incentives to direct combat benefits to the adventurers under the player's control. However, due to the immense cost of erecting Side Decks buildings, it becomes prudent for the player to plan long in advance, as a lot of these buildings will be especially useful if built as early as possible, while other buildings serve more of a final stepping stone to forming a perfect expedition into the depths of the Black Reliquary, offering powerful buffs to your combatants and improving their stats and abilities (and other gameplay aspects) beyond conventional means of training, equipment, and trinkets.

Buildings on the Side Decks can be built after Week 4, where engineers arrive onto the ship as per the "Room for Improvements" ship event.

Since each new building on the Side Decks requires Lost Tek, the player must choose very carefully which building they want to erect next, as the acquisition of Lost Tek can be quite an ordeal at the earlier stages of the game. It is important to note, however, that building Side Decks is not a prerequisite to completing the game; thus, they can be completely neglected if so desired.

The table below lists all of the currently available buildings that can be constructed on the Flameseeker's Side Decks, the cost of doing so, and the benefits of each individual project.
