The Levantine Commander is a Levantine/Human enemy found in the Catacombs. These commanders are the backbone of the Levantine army, sent forth into the Catacombs by the Vizier and led by the Levantine Janissary.

Commanders appear heavily armoured with padded scaled armour over a presumably metal set beneath and a full face mask. They also don a black fur scarf with a blue cape.

Behavior

Levantine Commanders organise their fellow Levantine in combat. They give a passive boost to allies ACC and Move resistance.

Passive Poptext buff.png Buffs:

  • Apprentice: +10 ACC, +20% Move Resist
  • Veteran: +15 ACC, +25% Move Resist
  • Champion: +20 ACC, +30% Move Resist

He will use Formations! on the Prep icon.png Prep Round, this is the only time it can be used.

Formations! Poptext buff.png Buffs all allies PROT and SPD. Its somewhat unique in that the Buff requires the units to stay where they were when it was used.

Rallying Horn has a chance to do low Tray afflicted.png Stress to all Heroes and Poptext buff.png Buffs all allies damage.

Leading Slash is almost the same as the Grunt's Trained Slash, with moderate damage and the additional ability to be used in rank 4.

Strategy

Rallying Horn is incredibly dangerous if its stacked but can only be used from the back ranks so pulling the commander to the front is high priority if possible, especially because the commander can't move on his own.

Due to its condition, the Formations! Buff becomes much less valuable if the enemy party is surprised or can be disrupted.
